Pull Day with a Grumpy Elbow

Date: February 17, 2026
Bodyweight: 255
Energy: Tired
Elbow: Not great

This was a pull day, and my elbow made sure I knew it.

Energy was low from the start. Nothing dramatic, just one of those sessions where you are not running on fumes, but you are not exactly sharp either.

Lifting

Overhead Row Machine
120 x 10
140 x 8
150 x 6
150 x 6
150 x 8

The last set surprised me a little. Squeezed out 8 reps at 150 after two sets of 6. That felt like a small win.

Iso-Lateral Row Machine
152 x 6
152 x 8
152 x 8
152 x 8
152 x 8

Solid work here. Not explosive, but controlled. The elbow was noticeable but manageable.

Cable Low Row
85 x 15
100 x 12
120 x 8
120 x 8
120 x 8

This is where fatigue showed up more. Grip and elbow both felt it. Still finished the sets without dropping weight.

Total lifting cardio load: 24.

Nothing flashy. Just volume.

Treadmill

3.0 MPH for 25 minutes.

Started at 0.0 incline.
Increased by 0.5 incline each minute up to 6.0.
Then decreased by 0.5 each minute until minute 16, when I hit 4.0 incline.
Held 4.0 incline through minute 25.

Cooldown:

0.0 incline.
Started at 3.5 MPH.
Dropped 0.1 MPH per minute.
Finished at 3.1 MPH for a total of 30 minutes.

Treadmill cardio load: 45.

Cardio once again carried more load than lifting. That seems to be the pattern.

Observations

Pull days are clearly harder on the elbow than push days. Pressing feels stable. Rows feel testy.

Energy was not high, but the work still got done. That matters more than how motivated I felt when I walked in.

Bodyweight at 255. Down a pound from the previous session. Weight is moving slowly, but moving.

Nothing about this session was exciting.

That’s fine.

Rebuilding is not exciting. It’s repetitive. It’s showing up tired and doing it anyway.
